The Value of Joy

Does joy have any value?  Does it have any monetary value?  Does it accomplish anything?  If all of us made the pursuit of joy our primary purpose in life - war would diminish - violence would diminish - pollution would diminish - human disease would diminish.

Cassin's Finch

Cassin's Finch
I know all of the birds that visit my yard and I know their songs.  This morning I heard a new bird song.  I kept walking through the woods around my house looking for who was making this song that I have never heard before.  Isn't he beautiful?  It has taken me hours to identify him as a Cassin's finch.  A flock of grosbeaks came in this morning.  I was having such a great bird day that I decided to put up my hummingbird feeder.  Within an hour the 1st hummingbird showed up and a 2nd by this evening.  The chickadees, red breasted nut hatches, stellar jays, woodpeckers and the raven played today.  I decided it was a day to play.  I reread my favorite books and ate my favorite foods.  The men put up a giant wall tent in our back yard.  It looks like a cabin.  My friend's dog chased shadows and tried to bite them out of the ground.  My little dog Bear Bear chased squirrels and chipmunks.  This great day all started with the song of this finch.  Blessings

Basking - The Meditation for Today

Training Our Minds to Be Happy

This is a long video and it is fascinating.  I am in constant awe of the number of ways that the same information is being anchored on our planet.  It comes down to the most basic principle and that is how we feel is based on the thoughts that we choose.  In this video, Richard Davidson talks about studies that show how compassion training changes the brain.  They were able to show that the brain can change just by doing a half an hour of compassion training a day for 2 weeks.  That's pretty exciting.  When I looked at these compassion meditations from the view of energetic constructs, I saw that the compassion training bypasses the thought matrixes of the ego.  If you take the leap into quantum physics, where there is some notion that the observer changes reality by their expectations, this opens up the possibility that training our minds literally changes our power in the actual creation of our physical lives.  Blessings  (If compassion meditation sounds too mysterious - being goofy probably does just as much good)

Willing and Open

Living in the Space of Miracles comes from an attitude of willingness and openness.   It means that we are willing and open for the unexpected good.  We are open to the possibility of a miracle.  I often hear people say "I am open - I am willing - but. . . . "  Well the buts don't cut it.  Willing and open means we let go of our "buts." We just drop them and open to the possibilities of the good.  Blessings

More on Little Ego Deaths

We are plugged into group matrixes from the time we are born.  We are programmed by our family, school, society, church and friends.  At some point, most of us outgrow some of these constraints.  We long for a freedom to follow our own path.  It can be a decision to use alternative medicine instead of western medicine.  It might be a decision to become vegetarian when our family raises beef.  It might be a decision to be a musician when your family believes that you should be an accountant.  It can be a million different things.  Somewhere - someone - has told us not to do that.  In order to follow all of the rules that would make everyone else happy with our behavior - well - it is just impossible.  Even making a decision not to hate certain things will offend many.  Making a decision to live a happy life will offend some people.  Make a decision not to hate Obama and see what matrixes that runs up against!  Hahahaha!  So the craziness that comes in these little ego deaths is a fear of the unknown and it usually means that we have lifted our consciousness beyond some old belief system and somewhere in our programming is the strong message that this is dangerous, bad and something to be feared.

So these little ego deaths are really stages of integrating into a state of being that is more in alignment with our higher selves.  Yes - they can be very spiritual.  They certainly don't have to look spiritual.  Life is dynamic and everything changes.  We all change.  I say welcome the craziness, welcome the chaos - welcome the fear - and just let it speak its peace.

Chaos of little Ego Deaths

I am calling them little ego deaths, because we make way too big of a deal over the chaos and confusion that happens.  We live in a world of energy and this energy is structured based on our beliefs and all the groups that we are connected with.  As we expand emotionally, spiritually and mentally - which we are always doing - sometimes the old energetic structures are just gone.  In the physical world, sometimes this looks evident.  We have outgrown a job.  Our marriage changes.  We aren't sure who we are anymore in relationship to our old world.

I viewed this yesterday as I was driving.  It is an in between stage.  The most dramatic example of this is the shift that someone goes through during the actual physical death process.  They slowly withdraw their consciousness from this world and begin to re-emerge back into the non-physical.  Once the world of the non-physical is accessed, a dying person will often have a presence of light around them that can be felt and they will begin to visit with those who are in the non-physical.  Usually they will begin to see relatives that departed previously.  Often those around a dying person can see and experience this non-physical world if they are open to it.  Raymond Moody calls these shared death experiences.  I have been fortunate to have many of these and have been able to experience along with they dying person everything that they are experiencing.  So I don't see a death.  It is more like a great coming home and that non-physical world is more awesome than we can remotely begin to comprehend.  The departed can move into another world that is also physical, have a renewed body and even a house to live in if they want it.  They can also access anyone here on earth and so it is just an expansion.

As our planet is vibrationally accelerating right now, many people are going through what feels like death after death after death.  It really is more like - this new reality - and then this one - and this one - and this one.  From the perspective of physical life on earth, we look for the physical evidence that the new is here and it is often still in the energetic realms.  The mind simply likes to know.  Our linear mind just cannot grasp all of the life that is coming and it cannot "feel" the old anymore.  This is when people say that they feel crazy, confused, angry and don't know what to do next.  There really is never an ending, there is just more life and more life and more life.  So the question is - how do I stay sane - when I feel like I am going crazy?  I have never given anyone an answer to this question that satisfies the human mind.  The answer is to surrender in the openness of the unknown.  Even when we think we know the future that we have envisioned for ourselves, there is usually something more magnificent than what we imagined.  Even when we don't know what we want, how it is going to be created or what we are supposed to "do" right now, there is tremendous connection and guidance coming to us non-stop.  So we really don't have to do anything.  We can just be in the chaos, allow it and let it pass when it is done freaking out.  It's pretty much like watching a toddler have a temper tantrum.  Eventually they get over it.

Often during these shifts we have little energy for physical tasks.  Our energy is literally going into the energetic integration of a higher vibrational reality.  The mind will often run wild with that and ask things like, "well - what have you done today?"  "What are you going to do?"  "You have to do something - you can't just expect this craziness to go away by itself."  If we are really freaked out, we can always pray.  If we are really unsure, we can ask to be guided - even if don't think we can receive the guidance - we are being guided.  On the other side of these little ego deaths, I hear the same comment from every single person.  "Well if I had known that everything would turn out like this - I would not have freaked out!"  Blessings - it is all good.

Miracle of Shifting Perspectives

I use the word miracle to acknowledge the natural wonder of our universe.  It can be said that nothing is a miracle, it is just the natural result of the laws of energy.  It can also be said that it is all a miracle as we really cannot comprehend the detailed complexity of the universe and how it all works.  Most of the time when we are wanting a particular event to happen that we would think would be a miracle, we are really wanting the feeling that comes with the miracle.  Once we shift our own perspective, the universe rearranges everything and we often get the results of our new perspective.

The number one criteria that opens us up to the Space of Miracles is the perspective of openness.  People often say to me, "I am open to a miracle - but . . . blah - blah - blah.  But - this is the medical diagnosis - or - this will never happen because this other person will never do - blah - blah - blah."  The Universe cannot move once we have made up our minds to a fixed reality.  So the real miracle is always the 1st miracle which is the shift in our own perspective.  Blessings
